usually is a computer in their office or store.
Here are a few of the many
advantages of E-Commerce:
- No order clerk is needed. The Shopping Cart software takes care of that.
-
No waiting or busy signals for customers. The Shopping Cart can take multiple
orders at the same time.
-
Specials and sale items can immediately be displayed to the customers on the
front page.
How is the
Shopping Cart maintained?
- Everything is maintained through
a computer (any computer) connected to the Internet. The Shopping Cart Manager
manages the E-Commerce Shopping Cart.
-
The E-Commerce package and Shopping Cart maintain product inventory and prices.
-
The management system is password protected. Only authorized persons may
access the E-Commerce package and Shopping Cart Manager.
What does it
cost?
The Shopping Cart included with
the E-Commerce package is FREE (normally $500). E-Commerce packages vary in
price depending on the customer’s budget. See the E-Commerce cost
sheet.
Can the E-Commerce
package accept credit cards?
Yes, credit cards can be accepted
two ways:
- Through your existing credit card account. Orders are received on your
computer from the Shopping Cart. You carry out the transaction through your
existing credit card Merchant Account and processing terminal.
- Through an online Merchant Account Payment Facility.
What’s an
Online Merchant Account?
An online Merchant Account
authorizes online credit card purchases. The E-Commerce Merchant Account
processes the transaction (this happens at your Web Site in the Shopping Cart
software) and deposits the money into your bank account.
